2012 Parade of Homes Kicks Off on June 2

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Whether you’re in the market for a new home, love touring beautiful houses, or learning about thelatest building techniques, the 2012 Parade of Homes is a must‐attend event for you! The Parade of Homes, presented bythe Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater New Orleans, will take place on the weekends of June 2‐3 and June 9‐10between 1:00 and 5:00PM and is free and open to the public.Homeowners are beginning to feel more confident about the economy and investing in their current homes as well asbuilding their dream homes. And with summer kicking into full gear, this also puts renovations and expansions at the topof many to‐do lists. Builders and contractors are feeling the same and are looking to make this year’s Parade of Homes thebiggest in years. The Parade will feature 19 unique homes spread throughout four surrounding Parishes (Orleans,Jefferson, Plaquemines, and St. Charles), and will showcase the industry’s hottest building and design trends. It offersattendees the chance to not only take a glimpse inside breathtaking homes, but to also get remodeling ideas and meetone‐on‐one with the area’s best builders.“With 19 homes, this is one of the largest Parades since Hurricane Katrina. As housing is typically the leading indicator, weview this as a positive sign for the city, the housing industry, and the economy as a whole,” says Jon W.
