Female Business Leaders to Address Audience at Jefferson Chamber’s Business Leadership Awards Luncheon May 8
METAIRIE,LA – Patricia Besselman-Main ofBesselman Wealth Planners, Kristi Brocato of The Basketry, and ChristelSlaughter of SSA Consultants will contribute to a panel discussion at theJefferson Chamber’s Business Leadership Awards Luncheon, presented by SouthwestAirlines, on Wednesday, May 8 at the Hilton New Orleans Airport Hotel.
Patricia Besselman-Main has worked for 15 years as a Certified Financial Planner for Besselman Wealth Planners. As a CFP, she provides comprehensive investment and planning services to successful individuals with complex needs, in both business and personal financial matters.
Withonly $500 and a ton of ambition, Kristi Brocato began The Basketry in 1995 andopened a retail store in 1996. After 14 years, she outgrew her store and builta new one from the ground up, and custom designed her production counter toallow more baskets to be made.
Asthe CEO of SSA Consultants, Christel Slaughter has led corporate andorganizational transformations involving strategy, growth, cultural change, andperformance improvement. As an organizational consultant, Christel specializesin leadership development, executive coaching, change management, performanceimprovement, and strategic planning.
Thepanel will focus on what it takes to be a small business owner in today’seconomic environment.
Inaddition to the panel discussion, the Business Leadership Awards Luncheonhonors the accomplishments of both small and large businesses and the impactthey have made on the Jefferson Parish business community.

Theevent is a celebration of entrepreneurship, achievement, perseverance andcommunity service. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the luncheon andprogram following at noon.
