Jefferson Chamber will host Annual Evening at the Legislature Presented by Peoples Health
BATON ROUGE – The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Evening at the Legislature, presented by Peoples Health, on this Wednesday, March 11, at the Louisiana Association of Business & Industry (LABI).
Evening at the Legislature offers leaders in the Jefferson Parish community an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and receive information on the status of key legislation critical to Jefferson Parish and the business community.
This year’s event will include a legislative briefing to approximately 85 attendees, will feature presentations by President and CEO of LABI, Will Green, and Louisiana State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Cade Brumley and a comprehensive overview of local, state, and federal legislative priorities.
During the program, attendees can enjoy refreshments sponsored by Ochsner Health and HUB International. A reception with members of the Jefferson Legislative Delegation will follow, catered by Drago’s Seafood and sponsored by Cox Communications.
Transportation to and from the event is being provided to registrants by The Port of New Orleans on a first-come, first-served basis.
Proceeds from the event support the business organization’s efforts in public policy advocacy and quality of life initiatives.
